There has never been a designer followed so much by the mass commercial market than Balmain. Christopher Decarnin creates and within a year every department in the world is stocking the trends he showcases. It is a phenomenon never quite seen before. He is my favourite designer - no one compares to his brilliance.

Trends: Metallic, Military, Leather, Studs, Embellishment, Shorts, Cut-out, The Power Shoulder.

Transferable Trend

Remember that clever little transfer bracelet Chanel did for all its Fashion week guests (posted 3 weeks ago) well they were all over the runways this season - you also remember Rodarte's body paint don't you? Well this trend was far more wearable than Rodarte or JP Gaultier and is set to be a big time trend! Our only problem? the only transfers we can get our hands on usually involve hearts or anchors with the words, 'Mum' on - hardly high fashion! So it was a relief when I saw Chanel is now selling them in boutiques and Selfriges from the 1st of March. Transfers are the new statement jewellery !

P.S Karl Lagerfelt shot the V mag spread despite his previous comments about how he hated Fat people and shouldn't have to look at them and also said Heidie Klum was heavy - bit of a sheep if you ask me - boo to him !

I finally got to see the documentary and it was sooo touching. He is such a classy character and the relationship between Valentino himself and his right hand man and life long friend, lover and business partner Giancarlo Giammetti was so funny and heart warming! You just have to see it.
